A little while back RedBubble posted a design challenge on their website: Design a T-shirt for the Railroad Revival Tour 2012. As it was all about trains (which are pretty cool) and music (which is also pretty cool), I decided to give it a go. I managed to get my design finished an uploaded (with only hours to go before the cut-off) and sat back to wait for the voting results. The voting was to be done by the Railroad Revival people (no community voting by RedBubblers), and they were offering some pretty impressive prizes for the top 3 designs. As I haven’t really delved into the world of t-shirt design, I was definitely not expecting to win the competition, but I did enjoy working on the project and might even have learnt a thing or two along the way.

Sadly, we were advised yesterday that the tour has been cancelled (not sure why at this stage), which has obviously cancelled the competition as well. Oh well, these things do happen, and while it would have been exciting to see how the judges rated the many designs (you can view them all here), it was still fun to take part.

Thanks a lot Johan :) – It was a fun thing to do, so I don’t mind all that much. Yes you’re right, were heading for summer down here :)

I love your design. So sad that the competition was cancelled; otherwise, I’m sure that you would have won it.
